Our landlords have sadly informed us that they have sold the Happy Days building and surrounding land to developers, and they will not be renewing our lease from January 2014.
We would like to reassure you that we are doing all we can to find alternative premises and already have a couple of promising options which we are pursuing.
We will keep you updated with our progress and we look forward to welcoming your child to Happy Days. If you have any questions (or suggestions) relating to this please let us know.

We are pleased to announce that we have found a new premises for Happy Days.
We will be moving to the Lagley Meadow Youth Centre over the summer holidays ready for the start of the Autumn term in September.
For those of you who don't know the Youth Centre, it is close to Berkhamsted Sportspace/Gossoms End Clinic. It has a big outside play area, lots of parking and is located at the same end of town as our current building.
While will be very sad to leave our lovely building, we are very relieved that we have found somewhere new. We are determined to have the new building looking as fantastic as Happy Days is now.
If you would like to volunteer to help us with the move over the summer, please speak to Mel, Fiona or Sasha.

As you know, we had a visit from Ofsted last 1/2 term. The inspector was very happy with how the pre-school is being run and gave us a few small suggestions to how we can improve further. As soon as we have the inspection report, we will forward on to you to read.
Thanks to all parents and children who came along to our Valentine's Disco. We hope you had a good time - we certainly did. A big thank you also to the Committee for organising this, the staff for helping out and the DJ Paul Cusack (07508 190517) for providing his services for free.
It would be great if all children could have shoes to wear inside, slippers or plimsoles are ideal. The floor can be quite slippery for children running around in socks or tights. Please could you name all shoes, plimsoles and slippers too.
Don't forget the Bag2school collection this Friday 28th February. Ideally please drop your bags into pre-school on the 27th February (not before) and we will store overnight in the office incase the collection van comes early on Friday morning.
Bags are available from the table next to the toilets. Or feel free to use a black bin bag if you prefer. Clothes, bags, shoes, bedding and curtains will all be collected.
If you haven’t already done so, please “like” us on Facebook. We use this to keep you updated on our week-to-week activities.
As mentioned in the previous newsletter, we are currently collecting our fundraising money for our outdoor area. If anyone has any contacts with suppliers of outside play equipment - please let us know. We are also looking for a good carpenter who might be able to build a structure.
Let it snow!
There is a good chance that snow may be on its way! We will always do our best to open but if this is not possible we will post a message on Facebook and on our website first thing in the morning to let you know. Please also visit www.hertsdirect.org/eycclosures.
